The last thing you want to do on Valentine’s Day is stay stuck at home having the same night as usual, or go out for a too-expensive dinner at a restaurant where the food is certainly not worth the bill. Instead, check out these five awesome Valentine’s date ideas below.
Go ice skating
Ever notice how most rom-coms feature couples ice skating? That’s because there are few things as romantic as gliding on the ice together. And conveniently, February is a great time to go do just that.
Watch a comedy show
What’s more romantic than laughing together? Forget about the stress of day-to-day responsibilities and head to a local comedy club to relax and have a laugh.
Chill at the spa
Spas often offer reduced rates and extended hours for couples on Valentine’s Day. Take advantage of the opportunity to get a massage and treat yourselves together. You deserve it!
Book a hotel
Spending the night in a different environment can do wonders for romance. Book a nice hotel with your partner and order some champagne to your room to celebrate your relationship.
Have a themed night in
Okay, so maybe you like to stay in. Just don’t make it like every other night. Switch things up by picking a theme, then choosing a movie and cooking a meal together that matches it.
If you decide to go out on Valentine’s Day, impress your date with a nice new ride at Atzenhoffer.

We may not get the traditional autumn weather that our friends do up north, but we can still celebrate the fall season here in Victoria, Texas. Below are five of our favorite fall activities:
Carving pumpkins: Head to a nearby
pumpkin patch and pick out your favorite gourds. Then bring them home to carve
with family and friends. You can just carve a jack-o’-lantern face, or get
creative and design something new.
Bonfires: Autumn nights in Texas can sometimes
get chilly enough for a bonfire, the perfect place to make s’mores and swap
Haunted houses: Speaking of ghosts,
fall means haunted houses will be opening up all across the country, Texas
included. Victoria is even home to some haunted attractions in the fall.
Watching movies: Fall is the perfect
time to cuddle up on the couch with your loved ones and the dogs and put on
your favorite Halloween movies, whether it’s the family-friendly classic, “Hocus
Pocus,” or something a little more frightening, like “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”
Even after Halloween passes, you can watch some of TV’s greatest Thanksgiving
specials like the “Bob’s Burgers and Friends” one.
Corn mazes: The Midwest may be famous
for its corn. However, even Texas has some great corn mazes, which is a staple activity
for the fall season.
